Happy Monday, friends!

In honor of my trip back up to SF this week, I’m wearing my cozy new Zara scarf and a comfy outfit full of fall basics. I had been eyeing this scarf for the last month or so, but couldn’t justify buying it…it’s still 75 degrees in LA! BUT, when I went up to San Francisco a couple of weeks ago, it was cold and I didn’t have anything to keep me warm…so I bought the scarf. Oops! Whatever. I love it. Hopefully it gets cold enough down here in LA for me to actually wear it enough. I will be heading back up north this week, so at least I will get to wear it then:-)

Let’s see anything else exciting going on? I went to the horse races for the first time on Saturday..that was a hoot. On Sunday I sat on the couch and watched Mad Men for probably 12 hours….again, oops.

I have some other fun fall outfits for you this week, and I’m even busting out a coat..so get excited!

Favorite Pink Products

Beauty Product Favorites

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I decided to share some of my favorite pink beauty products with all of you! Before I get into the products, I just want to take a second to say my piece, if you haven’t checked out the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s site (I hadn’t before today), definitely do. You can learn a lot of good information, that as women, we should all know about. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, so remember ladies…always touch your boobies and get regular check-ups! Ok, now onto the products…These are all literally my FAVORITE products ever, so it’s funny that they happen to all be pink.

Beauty Favorite: Phytokeratine Repairing Thermal Protectant Spray

Phyto Thermal Protectant

I use a ton of heat on my hair, which means it is extremely prone to breakage. I try to keep my hair as healthy as possible by using an array of different products that claim to protect, smooth, create shine, decrease scalp build-up,  strengthen… list goes on and on.  One of the best hair products I’ve tried in recent years is the Phytokeratine Repairing Thermal Protectant Spray. It’s a heat protectant spray that repairs damaged hair and protects from breakage. I think my mom was recommended this brand by her stylist, and she has since got me hooked.

I’ve tried other heat protectant sprays in the past, and I’ve never really noticed them doing much, and while there has been no drastic changes to my hair while using this one, my hair has managed to stay looking pretty healthy through all of the torture I put it through! It embarrasses me to say this, but I haven’t gotten my hair cut in almost a year, because I have been trying to grow it out. I know it’s advised to get regular hair cuts even while growing your hair out, but that never seems to work for me. My hair just always ends up being shorter than I want. So this year I’m trying to let it grow out, and I truly believe using the Phyto thermal spray has really helped with minimizing breakage.

Some other benefits: Phyto is formulated without paragons, sulfates, or phthalates and is cruelty free! Oh, and it smells delicious!!! And finally,  just because I love a good statistic…here you go:

Research results:
Within 1 month of use (self-assessment among 58 women):
- 68% of subjects saw more resistant hair
- 86% of subjects saw silkier hair

I highly recommend this one, friends! It isn’t the cheapest option on the market, but it is well worth the extra bucks.
