Ok, so I realize this is a total summer look, and half of the country is covered in snow…BUT, out here in California it remains to be pretty warm, so I can get away with it. People say I’m crazy, but I actually wish it were freezing cold and snowing here so I could bundle up in layers, put the fireplace on, and drink some tea…but unfortunately that never happens. If you do live in cooler climates, than maybe this post can be used as inspiration for your next vacation. I keep seeing bloggers on these awesome winter vacays, and when I went into J. Crew the other day, they had the cutest resort/beachwear stuff…so I felt inspired to style my take on the perfect vacation outfit. Now if only I were really on vacation…

Where would you go if you could be on vacation right now? I would go to either Thailand or Greece…

I had seen this adorable maxi dress on Piperlime for months, but finally snagged it back on Black Friday. Obviously it’s been the dead of winter, so it hasn’t gotten much use, but I decided to pull it out last weekend during our mini heatwave. I paired the dress with this great clutch that my dad actually brought back for me from Venezuela. I think it will be perfect for summer and I can see myself getting a ton of use out of it. No vacation ensemble is complete without a straw hat, and it’s about time I get a new one because mine has been stuffed into one too many beach bags and is falling apart!

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week. Thank you so much for all of your kind comments…they really do make my day!

I was on a bargain hunting role last week! I found this top on sale at H&M for $12!! It was originally $60! SCORE!!! I love the black and white combo and I LOVE the fringe bottom! I think it is such a fun top and perfect for a night out with friends, or it would even spice up a work ensemble.

I’m also slightly obsessed with this tote bag from FOREVER 21!! That’s right…I said Forever 21!! It may be hard to tell in the pictures, but it has the same finish as some of the Alexander Wang bags (obviously not real leather), and looks so expensive! I needed a new tote to carry paperwork and my computer around in, and this one is perfect. If you are in the neighborhood for an inexpensive carry-all…this one is dreamy.

Hello babes!

So sorry for the break. My cameraman…aka my boyfriend… has been out of town and we haven’t been able to find the time to take outfit photos, but we managed to get a couple of shots today, so I thought I would share them with you!

I had seen this Zara dress a couple of months ago, but didn’t pick it up because I didn’t feel like paying full price for it, which I think was around $60-70. Anyways, I went to Zara the other day to check out their sale and I managed to find the last one in my size for under $20! I love cheetah print everything…especially a cheetah print dress!!! I read an article today that said once a woman turns thirty she should stop wearing animal print…..I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!! I personally think leopard print will never/and should never go out of style, and I think it looks fabulous on any girl at any age!! I almost wanted to leave a comment explaining my disdain…haha

I thought it would be fun to pair this classic animal print with a bold red lip. I still don’t know how I feel about red lipstick on me. I think everyone else looks flawless, but I kinda think I look like a crossdresser…but Im’a make it werrrk!! I’m just more comfortable in peachy pinks, and rosey shades, but every once in a while I go a little crazy and do a bold lip.

This outfit is so me. I think it’s perfect for a date night, especially now in SoCal. It’s been so damn hot! You could wear the leather jacket just for the sake of it being January, but take it off and you have a cute little dress on underneath. I paired this look with boots to keep with the January theme, but I would also do a cute strappy sandal.

I’ll also be linking up with some lovely ladies for today’s link up. Make sure you check them out!!

Since it’s the last day of the the first full week of the new year, I decided it would be the perfect time to do a little recap of some of my favorite looks of 2014. Looking back through all of the posts, it’s crazy to think I’ve been doing this since last summer! There were so many photos…I was actually kind of proud of myself for posting so much. Looking back through everything made me realize that I have had a lot of fun over the last few months putting different looks together. I just hope I don’t run out of clothing options…haha. I hope you all enjoy these looks from last year. The ones from summer are my absolute favorites! Thank you all so much for stopping by and for the continued support!

Bling Bling!

Today I just wanted to post some pictures of my favorite jewelry that I have been coveting. I’m basically obsessed with everything in this BLING collage. The only piece I own is the beaded bracelet set. I actually have a grey stoned bunch that symbolize ‘balance’, which is what I am trying to do in 2015… live a happy and balanced life.  I also really love the Kate Spade flower studs. They sort of remind me of a Dogwood flower, and Dogwoods are special in my family because my Nana would plant one whenever one of the grandchildren was born. I even have a Dogwood tattoo that I got with my mom a few years ago.  My birthday is coming up in less than a month, so these would be good gift ideas **wink, wink to those of you who still buy me presents…I’m looking at you boyfriend…**

Everyone have a great day!
